BLADE Bay Area Charter
Bay Area traffic is hard to predict. Sometimes it takes hours to go just a few miles. Sometimes you miss a meeting or engagement. A BLADE charter takes you over it.

When you book a charter with BLADE, you skip the traffic, cut your travel time and arrive rested.
Whether you’re heading to Napa wine country, the beaches of Monterey or home to Concord or San Jose, BLADE can arrange the flight.
BLADE Shared Charter
Book a Shared Charter from $1,295 on select routes (minimum 24 hour notice). Shared Charters make Bay Area flights more accessible.

When you book a BLADE Shared Charter, unused seats will be sold on the app to other fliers.
FAQs
Why should I consider chartering my own aircraft?
Chartering allows you to reserve a private helicopter that leaves at the specific time of your choosing, can wait for you if you're late, and is available 24/7/365. Charter customers may receive complimentary aircraft upgrades, as available. Additionally, excess luggage beyond the per-person limit may be accommodated on charters–call 844-FLYBLADE for more details.
What is the difference between a shared charter and a regular charter?
The main difference is potential savings. If you set up a shared flight more than 24 hours out, you fly when you want for less, and the remaining seats are listed on the app for others to buy. Both options offer the same caliber of aircraft through BLADE’s partner operators. When you crowdsource, you must leave at the time you scheduled. Because other fliers are booked, the departure time can't change.
What if I arrive late to my flight? What is your change policy?
In the event that you are late for your charter, a charge of $250 per 15 minutes may apply while the helicopter is spinning, waiting past your scheduled departure time. These costs are derived from a combination of idle time, repositioning costs, and duty hours.
Why does BLADE need to know my weight? Is there a weight limit for passengers?
We collect each traveler’s weight so that we can help our operator monitor the total weight load of each flight. This is an FAA regulation that must be met in order to ensure your safety and the safety of those flying with you. There is no defined weight limit per passenger, but there is an overall weight limit and distribution allocated on a per aircraft basis. We strictly adhere to this. BLADE reserves the right to request a traveler change seats, shift flight times or purchase additional seats due to these regulations. This is an FAA regulation that must be met in order to ensure your safety and the safety of those flying with you.
Why is my charter still pending, and not confirmed yet?
Chartered flights are confirmed in the order they are received. Once your flight has found its place in the queue we will confirm it. Flight volume is often high, and we confirm flights as quickly as we can.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations may be eligible for BLADE credit depending on timing; see the cancellation terms at checkout. Cancellation/weather insurance is also available at checkout.
If your flight is cancelled due to weather, you will be notified and refunds or BLADE credits are handled under BLADE’s current weather policy.
Charter Service
BLADE arranges crowdsource and charter services between all surrounding destinations, such as Palo Alto and Oakland or SFO and Napa County.
