Can You Fly to Miami in October?

Yes, you can fly to Miami by private jet in October. The question is which kind of flight. BLADEone, BLADE's by-the-seat jet between New York and South Florida, runs from November through early May, so it does not fly in October. In October, a private charter is the way to fly private from New York to Miami with BLADE. This page explains both options and when private jets from NYC to Miami are scheduled.

Flying to Miami in October: private charter

Outside the BLADEone season, BLADE arranges private jet charters between New York and Miami through BLADE Anywhere. You book the whole aircraft, choose your departure time and fly with only the people you invite. For flights in the United States, BLADE acts as an air charter broker, and all flights are operated by DOT/FAA licensed direct air carriers.

A charter makes sense if:

  • You are traveling as a group and want to share the cost of the aircraft
  • You need to leave or return on a specific day or time
  • You want to fly from an airport other than Westchester

If you have empty seats, you can choose to crowdsource your charter. BLADE sells the unused seats in the BLADE app and credits the seats that sell back to you as BLADE credits toward future flights.

Flying to Miami from November: BLADEone

From November, you can book a single seat instead of a whole aircraft. BLADEone offers flights between Westchester and Miami or Palm Beach on a commercial-sized jet with just 16 seats, powered by Aero. The 2026 to 2027 season runs from November 2026 to May 2027.

The flight time between New York and Miami or Palm Beach is about 2 hours and 45 minutes. If you are starting in Manhattan, you can fly by helicopter directly to or from the BLADEone jet in about 12 minutes.

On board, the SKYfx cabin crew looks after you throughout the flight. Service includes cocktails, champagne, caviar and a full dining service, complimentary Starlink Wi-Fi, iPad Pros preloaded with first-run movies, and a BLADE Dopp Kit at your seat. BLADE has a private lounge in Miami and uses private FBOs in Palm Beach and New York.

How Often Do Flights Happen?

During its season, BLADEone offers flights between New York and Miami or Palm Beach on Thursdays, Fridays, Sundays and Mondays, with additional flights over the holidays. That schedule suits long weekends in Miami.

If you fly the route often, BLADEone Seat Packs offer preferred pricing for the season. The 20 Seat Pack is from $2,300 per seat and the 10 Seat Pack is from $2,500 per seat. A BLADEone Dog Pass, at $3,500 per season, lets you bring a dog of up to 20 lbs on every BLADEone flight you book that season.

Seats booked on a BLADEone flight can be switched to a different flight up to 7 days before your flight time.

Planned Flights Around Special Events

BLADEone flights have served some of Miami's biggest events, including Art Basel weekend, the Super Bowl, the Miami Open and the South Beach Wine and Food Festival. Book early for event weekends. If your event falls in October, or you need a time BLADEone does not offer, book a private charter instead.

Baggage

On the BLADEone jet, each passenger can bring two checked bags of up to 100 lbs combined, one carry-on and one personal item. If you are connecting by helicopter, the limit is one 25 lb carry-on and one personal item. For extra luggage, you can add a ToteTaxi pickup and delivery when you book. On a private charter, ask about your aircraft's luggage space when you request a quote.
